Heller's Radical Philosophical Research

The essence of philosophy is the eternal topic of philosophy.Marxists are facing new realistic situations and problems with the flourishing of Marxism and the practice of the Socialist Movement in Eastern Europe and Left-wing Movement in West Europe.Heller,one of the most important representative of Eastern Europe Neo-Marxism and Budapest School,has written a book A Radical Philosophy which is the theoretical product in this realistic context.The ideology of Heller based on the development of Marxist Communist theory,the sublation of Habermas' Discourse Ethics and the full reference to Sartre's Freedom and Responsibility theory which made her radical philosophy theory profound and rich.In content,Heller demonstrated that what is the expression of philosophy through the relationship between the internal system of radical philosophy and attitude,through the relationship between philosophy and value.Then she expounded the significance of Philosophy in daily life and explained the possibility of radical democracy in political life through the philosophical definition of power which makes the essential connotation of philosophy pluralistic.In practice,Heller had enriched the practical dimension of radical philosophy in three aspects: practice,ways to achieve and goals which makes it possible for radical philosophy from theory to practice and determines methodology for radical philosophy.There are four aspects in this thesis: analysing its ideological source,combing its theoretical connotation,excavating its practical dimension,and reflecting on its progress and limitations to explore the radical philosophy of Heller.Her radical philosophy negates positivism philosophical mythology and has epoch-making significance for realistic philosophy.But the ambiguous definition of some important concepts and the subjective demonstration make the practicality of her radical philosophy to be questioned.
