From Bivalent Adjectives To Psychological Verbs—a Multi-angle Analysis Of “weird”

With the development of linguistics,more and more scholars pay attention to psychological verbs.In Chinese,the verbs have many types,studying psychological verbs is useful for the study of verbs.Currently,scholars have different viewpoints of psychological verbs.And the criteria of psychological verbs hasn't been settled.In addition,Chinese never changes their forms and also doesn't have any morphological markers.Also from the angle of grammatical function,parts of speech and sentence constituents are not one-to-one correspondence.So it is difficult to divide into parts of speech.This paper selected "qiguai" as the research object.Although the part of speech of "qiguai" is not unified,on the basis of scholars' researches,this paper combines the semantic criteria and the formal criteria to determine the "qiguai" as a psychological verb.Five main parts are follows.Chapter 1 is introduction part.The paper introduces the research of purpose and the meaning of this article,the research methods and the source of corpus.Also summarize many scholars' achievements,including the research status of psychological verbs,factive predicate,reduplication and the structure of "A le(?)B le(?)".Chapter 2 takes the word "qiguai" as the object of the study.This part combines the semantic criteria and the formal criteria to determine the "qiguai" as a psychological verb.This part also analyzes the word “qiguai”in two aspects of syntactic and semantic,such as syntacticcomponents of sentences?the situation of taking the object?the valency of "qiguai" ?the nonautonomy of “qiguai”and so onChapter 3 takes the factive predicate "qiguai" as the object of the study.At first,it indicates the judgment criteria of factive predicates and make sure "qiguai" is factive predicate.Then,the paper observes that the semanteme of "qiguai" and "qiguai" 's object of minor sentences are dual.This paper analyzes the factive predicate "qiguai" in three aspects of syntax grammaticalization and pragmtics.Chapter 4 takes the word "qiqiguaiguai" as the object of the study.This word is the reduplication of psych verb "qiguai".The part states that the developing process of "qiqiguaiguai" can be divided into two periods and two patterns.This part also analyzes "qiqiguaiguai" in three aspects of syntax,semantic and diachronic research.Chapter 5 analyzes the word "qileguaile" in formative aspect,syntactic aspect,pragmatic aspect and contrast the word "qiguai" and the word "qileguaile" to conclude the specificity of the word "qileguaile".We also explore the origin of the word "qileguaile" with the Chinese language materials and ancient Chinese language materials.Chapter 6 makes a summary of the whole paper,points out the innovation and inadequacy.
