Research On The Thought Of "Zhong Lu Dan Ding Dao"

The Chinese culture is composed of three major schools in history:Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.The emergence of Zen,Chhuan Chen Tao and Confucian school of idealist philosophy of the Song and Ming dynasties is the result of merging of the three religions.Chhuan Chen Tao has a great influence on Chinese culture.Taoist theory for inner elixir is a very important part of Taoism culture.The paper is divided into five parts,which expounds the emergence,development,characteristic and influence of Taoist theory for inner elixir of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.The first part,introduction,summarizes the significance of the selected topic,research status,research methods and the innovation points of the thesis.The second part,which reviewed in three aspects,introduces the historical background of Taoist internal alchemy theory of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.Firstly,this paper discusses Zhong-li Quan's life and activities for the foundation of his Taoist sect.Secondly,the paper explains Lu Tung-Pin's life and activities for the creation of his Taoist sect.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the relationship between them and their common early religious activities and writings.This part of the paper focuses on the historical textual research and analysis of description,to lay a solid foundation for future study on Taoist internal alchemy theory.The third part illustrates the origin of Taoist theory for inner elixir of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.This part studies the following three aspects:The rise of the theory on the Neidan School of Taoism of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin,Absorption of the Taoist thoughts and reference to the Zhou Yi Can Tong Qi,through which reveals the source of the theory on the Neidan School of Taoism of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.The fourth part studies the ideology of Taoist internal alchemy theory of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.This paper discusses the profound connotation and broad meaning of the theory on the Neidan School of Taoism of Zhong-li Quan and Lu Tung-Pin.It also analyzes the method,realm and purpose of taking pills of immortality and cultivating oneself to become on immortal.The fifth part of the thesis analyzes the characteristic and historical influence of Taoist theory for inner elixir.Its characteristics are as follows:sets a precedent for Chuan Chen Tao;integrate of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism;goes into the society by succeeding in alchemy,lays atheoretical foundation of coordination between spiritual and physical life.At last,analyses the influence upon later generations of the Neidan School of Taoism.
