Reba Dance is a customary and comprehensive dance of Tibetan folk dance,including dancing,music,drama,hiphop and acrobatics.Under the influence of the migration of the ancient Tibetans and religious cultural spreading,Reba Dance came into Yunnan,got rooted and developed in the forms of performance and worship ceremony.Later under the impact of Diqing multi-culture,Reba Dance developed into a folk art shared by Naxi and Lisu ethnic groups.The author tries to use the research methods of dancology and anthropology to analyze and illustrate the origin,development and transformation of Reba Dance.The thesis contains introduction and four chapters.The introduction part illustrates the research purpose and significance,gives definition and introduces the research methods and thinking pattern.In Chapter 1,it introduces the origin of Reba Dance and identifies the legends of origin.Besides,it classifies Reba Dance and talks about the geographical distribution of it in Yunnan.In Chapter 2,it summarizes the historical development of Reba Dance and analyzes the factors that promote it.In Chapter 3,it talks about the kinds of Reba Dance after its transformation.By using the methods of dancology,it extracts the features of Reba Dance,demonstrating the functional and natural transformation.In Chapter 4,it elucidates the discipline behind its development and transformation and puts forward the author's idea towards it.The thesis is an empirical study of Tibetan Reba Dance in Yunnan.The graphs in it are the result of the field work in hope of giving an actual reference in Chinese folk dancing research.
