An Analysis Of The Role Of Ancient Chinese Poetry In Expression | | Posted on:2018-04-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X W Song | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2355330515953343 | Subject:Ancient Chinese literature | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | In ancient China,"poem" was always considered as an important literary genre.As one of the most important elements of a poem,"rhyme" has enjoyed a wide recognition among poets for hundreds of years.Rhyme has been highlighted in poetry ever since the times of ancient folk songs.Being an indispensible element in poems,"rhyme" plays an essential role in the expressive function.Chinese ancient poets paid attention to the functions of rhymes in emotional expression very early and consciously or unconsciously applied rhymes in the creation of poetry.The function of rhymes in emotional expression mainly embodies in the influences of rhymes on the degree of poetry’s emotional expression and on the emotion nature expressed by poetry.Through ancient relevant notes on poetry and acoustic experiments about sounds of Western modern experimental aesthetics,it can be confirmed that the pronunciation characters of rhymes play a certain role in cooperating with poetry’s emotional expression.Such cooperation can enhance the expression effect,thus giving full play to the beauty of sound in the whole poetry and making the sound complement the content and emotion expressed by the word.The effects of pronunciation of rhymes in the emotional expression can be regarded as a kind of"sub-rhetorical technique".This thesis is divided into five chapters.First chapter mainly analyzes the functions of rhyming words in the emotional expressions of ancient Chinese poetry.Its core views are as follows:in many poetry works,there is a positive relation between vowel openness and emotional degree of poetry expressions.Second chapter mainly elaborates on the essential function of rhyming words on emotional expressions of ancient Chinese poetry,whose core views are:there is an intimate connection between front vowel and bright,clear and swift objects etc while back vowel is closely connected to dark,vague and slow objects etc.This connection is in coordination with partial content of emotions expressed in poetry.Third chapter mainly analyses the function of emotional expressions in poetry,which respectively discusses the cross-rhyme phenomenon within《Shijing》,《Chuci》,ancient-style poetry and song-style poetry and its functions in emotional expressions.Fourth chapter mainly analyzes the incoordination shown in rhyming word pronunciation of matching poetry expressions.Fifth chapter gives a reasonable definition of matching function of rhyming words in emotional expressions of poetry.In terms of thesis-related questions that need to be discussed,they will be discussed in"postscript" part. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Poem, Rhyme, Rhyme word, Expressive Function | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
