On The Southern Complex In Su Tong's Novel Creation

Until this year,Su Tong has been contributing as many as three million words to his reader.Su Tong is a native of southern writer.In his literary works',Southern China(mainly in Suzhou and Nanjing)is the main creative background,and the people or events which happened in southern are the main content.He uses these elements to build a world of the south in his memory,write down the complex,love-hate feelings and placed all things on south street(Xiang Chunshu street).In 1987,the story<Mulberry field as a souvenir>,which adapted from Su Tong's first love,shocked the literary world.20 years later,in 2009,his work <Bank> was awarded many awards,including "Chinese literature media award".The most fascinating part in his literary works is his poetic building of Jiangnan world and fantastical imagination.In his works,the south world is not only a real homeland,but also a geographic coordinates,guides writer and the readers return to the "spirit hometown".It included pursuit and longing for intrinsic spiritual home,and also the most essential awareness of individual life of Su Tong.The research focus of this paper is Su Tong's unique southern complex in his novels.This article is divided into the following four chapters to discuss.The first chapter explores the original reasons of southern complex in Su Tong's novels.The growing experience from his childhood to middle age and his feelings to the southern world formed this southern complex.The second chapter will analyzes the connotation of southern complex in Su Tong's novels.On the basis of analyzing the text of the novel,study the writing skill which full of Jiangnan breath of human nature from primary articles,fates of characters in the story,and the soul to the external.Even in this group of 60's southern authors,the analyzing from the depths of the soul to the body also makes Su Tong's writing of southern complex clear and characteristic,and become different.The southern world,as his spiritual support,conveys the subconscious to the pursuit of"spirit of returning home”.The third chapter in this paper is about the unique southern aesthetic features.Through the complicated images,folk customs and lyrical language description,we will find the influence of southern world to his thought and aesthetic characteristics.From another aspect explain his works of the kernel and trait of southern complex.The last chapter will summarizes the gain and loss about contain a large number of southern complex in the works.In this article,through comparing with the traditional Jiangnan literature to uncover its unique-unique aesthetic and the understanding of the southern literature.We will certain his contribution to the development of southern literature,but also points out the limits of Jiangnan writing.At last,through the 60s' generation writers' writing spirit,reflect on the development direction of contemporary literature,making suggestions and giving advice to the contemporary literature.
