China's Contemporary New Photography Research

In recent years,with the development of many photography festival or photography competitions which are based on the theme of "new talent",new talent photography has become a topic of concern in the photographic circle.The study of new talent photography has both theoretical and practical significance.On the one hand,it helps readers to clarify the origin and evolution of new talent photography,on the other hand,it can provide some ideas and reference for readers to create photography.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the research,and reviews the related document literature.The second chapter introduces the background of the new talent photography,defines the concept of new talent photography,and analyzes the connotation of "new talent".The third chapter discusses the value of new talent Photography:one of its values lies in reviewing the tradition that includes traditional photography techniques and Chinese traditional culture.Another one of its values lies in expanding the theme of new talent photography which includes female soldier,CT images of animals,indoor plants and many other rarely discussed topics.The third value is the expression of simple emotion.New talent photography abandons the collective will and market trends however take simple and sincere pictures to express their love of family or hometown.The fourth value,which is the most important value of new talent photography,is that it breaks the boundary of photography by double manufacture(combining photography with painting and embroidery),computer mapping and mobile phone screen-shot.The fifth value is the further exploration of conceptual photography which is a very important part in contemporary photography.Lin Lu even believes that contemporary photography is equivalent to the conceptual photography.New talent photography also has many good concept is worth research.In the fourth chapter of this thesis,I put forward some criticisms on some of new talent photography.One of the criticisms is that new talent photography overly imitates contemporary photography.Zu Yu believes in the domestic photography view,new talent photographers are the"dash champion",and in the international environment,they are just some opportunists.New talent photography has been questioned for excessive imitation of contemporary photography.The second criticism is the disconnection between the new talent photography and social reality.Susan Sontag thought that photography had been alienated as tools.Such remark is still applicable to new talent photography;part of new talent photography group did not fully assume their social responsibility.They often make use of their camera as a prying tool and seek novelty for weird scene,out of line with the social reality.The third criticism is the dependence on the interpretation.New photography works always have a large number of interpretations from the critics;otherwise the reader is difficult to understand it.This reflects that the subject of new talent photography is not clear or too abstruse.The fifth chapter is the summary and outlook;I put forward many problems of photography art about the social education,the school education and the construction on photography ontology language.Meanwhile I propose some prospects.First of all,new talent photography itself is a new topic.Secondly,based on summarizing the results of previous studies and combined with the related art theory,I define the concept and connotation of new talent photography.Thirdly,I compare Chinese contemporary new talent photography with foreign contemporary photography from the horizontal angle,and compare contemporary new talent photography with traditional photography from longitudinal angle.This enriches the research space of new talent photography.
