Whether in China or in the west,the aesthetic ideology develops step by step accompanied by the advancement of people's aesthetic experience,which can be traced back to ancient times.With the development of philosophy-aesthetics thought,ancient translators began to think over translation aesthetic practice and aesthetic ideology.On the basis of the theory of translation aesthetics proposed by Professor Liu Miqing and the 20 selected representative classical art essays in combination with the corresponding English versions translated by domestic well-known scholars,the thesis made a study on GuanZhi Ancient Prose from two level and six aspects,namely formal system(the pronunciation,word and sentence)and non-formal system(image,culture,beauty and the beauty of artistic conception).This paper discusses how different translators represent the aesthetic information and how aesthetic subject and aesthetic object achieve harmony in the process of translation and reproduce the original aesthetic style.This thesis can be divided into five chapters.Chapter One briefly introduces the research background,research purpose and method,the importance of the study and the layout of the thesis;Chapter Two is the literature review of aesthetic origins of translation theories both in China and the west as well as the main theory of modern translation aesthetics;Chapter Three serves as the main part,which analyzes aesthetic representation in every level;Chapter Four discusses the reasons of the loss of aesthetic representation.In this part,enlightenment has been put forward on the compensation method;Chapter Five is the conclusion part which summarizes the aesthetic representation in translation and lists the shortcomings of this research.
