Deng Su Shi Wen Studies

DENG Su(1091-1132)is from Shaxian,Nanjian(now Fujian),who is a patriotic literati of the Song Dynasty.A total of twenty-five volumes of his Binglv Collections were spread all over the world;He was famoused for satiting marble,but seldom noticed in the later ages.He criticized the current affairs,but in the decadent court,the exclusion of the final regret.The Whole Song Poetry,The Complete Works of Song respectively include ten volumes of poetry,that is two hundred and fifty-three;ten volumes of works,that is ninety-five.Deng Su's poems are rich in content,and are quite distinctive in the artistic approach.As a typical representative of the literati during the Nandu period,the current academic concern for Deng Su is not much,because his official position was not significant and his living time was shorter.Through the study of Deng Su's poems,this thesis aims to restore the image of a typical patriotic literati during the Nandu period.The introduction part is divided into two aspects.On one hand,it summarizes the present situation of Deng Su's poems in the current country,and on the other hand,it analyzes the innovation and possible difficulties existing in the thesis.The first chapter discusses Deng Su's life and social intercourse.The first section discusses DENG Su's life times.There were internal and external problems at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty: the ruling class focused on the stones and antiques,the court was decadent;outside the court,Jin forces came to the south and the border was frequently in an emergency.The southern crossing of Song royal and the hatred of country and family: That“Jingkang's humiliation has not been wiped out yet” has become the subject of the creation of the era of literature.DENG Su both witnessed the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty and experienced Southern Song Dynasty's seeking temporary ease and comfort.The social life and political background had influenced his life trajectory and literary creation.The second section explores the life experience of DENG Su and sorts out the important deeds of his life in accordance with the chronological order.His life is divided into three periods: birth and entering into the Imperial College;occasional meeting the confidant and early entry of the official career;strongly advocating resistance against Jin's invasion and resignation andreturning home.The third section explores the influence of DENG Su's friendship situation on his creation.Deng Su had a wide friend relationship,and all were the current celebrities.LI Gang,CHEN Guan,CHEN Yuan,YANG Shi,ZHU Song,LUO Congyan were all close with him,and LI Gang became a lifetime friend of DENG Su.The second chapter discusses DENG Su's poems.DENG Su's poems mostly express the concern about the current situation of the country,or express sympathy for the people's livelihood,and also entrusted with the feelings of the country and the people even in some of the landscape poems.The first part disscusses the poetry of DENG Su into four categories,which are reminiscence poems,communication poems,farewell poems and scenery lyric poems,according to the different connotations of poetry themes,to explore the ideological content of poetry.The second section discusses the poetic tendency of DENG Su and the influence on his poems.DENG Su's poetry was learnt from many poets,especially affected by LI Bai and DU Fu.His poems not only get rid of the simplicity and easiness of BAI Juyi style,the carving and decoration of the Xikun style,and gradually get rid of the dominant position of Jiangxi poetic style,his poetry style has BAI Juyi's smooth and ease,DU Fu's gloom and dignifying,LI Bai's heroism and unrestrained enthusiasm,as well as Song's healthy and rational rhyme,the "Tang Style" and "Song Tune" c-existed.The third section analyzes the poetic style of heroic,pretty and ease as well as dignified and tremendous,the narrative expression technique,the vigorous and the natural language.The third chapter analyzes the main contents and artistic techniques of Deng Su's prose.And the creation of Deng Su's prose was rooted in the environment between Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty,so his prose was more smooth and straightforward.Like his poetry,he can permeate into the words between the lines with patriotic enthusiasm and the common feelings of unite allies,highlighting his grand integrity and righteousness.The whole chapter is divided into two sections,the first section mainly analyzes the ideological contents contained in DENG Su's narrative prose,memorial prose,preface and postscript prose and other prose;the second section explores the artistic characteristics of these four types of genres: in the content,the argument is detailed with strict structure;the artistic approach is flexible and changeable;in the ideology,knowledge blends with rational interest,having theemotional rhyme.
