A Study Of The Relationship Between Luchuan Cantonese And Wuming Zhuang Language

In this paper, the relationship between Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language is used as the object of study. By using the research methods of diachronic ,the same time and separating the relational words, the author firstly compares Luchuan cantonese into the language of Zhuang-Dong language to analyze the features of these two language and then separate the words of Zhuang-Dong language, the words of borrowed ancient Ping language in Luchuan cantonese and the words of borrowed cantonese, ancient Ping language ; Secondly, the author puts the words between Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language to compare with the ancient Chinese, medieval and modem Chinese, and then combines the method of separating to explore the source of these words,and try to isolate the ages of them.Finally, the author will clear the development of the two language by studying the features of initials, vowels and tones. By contrasting, the following conclusions can be drawn:1. Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language have the layers of tired in their development and evolution. Cantonese is peeled off five historical levels: ancient, medieval and modern Chinese,Zhuang Dong language words, and the borrowing words of ancient Ping; Zhuang language also can be divided into five levels: the homogous or borrowing words of ancient Chinese and medieval Chinese, moden Chinese, the borrowed words of ancient Ping and cantonese;2. Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language bouth have the ancient level.They reflecte the the features of ancient Chinese without "light lips" and "tongue". The words borrowed from the ancient Chinese language in Zhuang language account for about 1.7%. But the homologous words is less, they can be identified as the ancient Chinese homologous words are:"house" "take off" and"many";3. The proportion of Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language in the middle ages is the largest. The number of borrowing words in the middle ages of the Zhuang language is as high as 51.1%,while that the middle Chinese in Luchuan cantonese is 44.7%. This shows that Zhuang language had the largest contaction with the middle ancient Chinese ,and affected by the Chinese language mostly. Now,Luchuan cantonese is more from the middle ancient Chinese.4. The number of modem Chinese in Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language follows the medieval ancient Chinese closely. Borrowing from the modern Chinese in Zhuang language is nearly 17.2%, while the modern Chinese words in Luchuan cantonese is about 17.4%;5. The number of borrowed words from the ancient Ping language in cantonese and Zhuang language is less.Because they are both influenced by the ancient Ping language,so their ancient"Jing (except the Xin )" all read "t""th".Besides, Lu chuan cantonese is affected by Zhuang-Dong language, so its ancient "Xin mu" and small part of "Sheng,Shu,Xie mu" all read for the 1;6. Luchuan cantonese and Zhuang language have the same features: Firstly, they bouth have the initials of"?""h"; Secondly, They have no diego; Thirdly, The length of the Zhuang language'main vowels with the final rhymevowels is different. Lu chuan cantonese is influenced by the Zhuang-Dong language, so its vowels "a" is long and "e" is short; Fouthly ,they completely keep the rhyme of "m,n,(?)" and "p,t,k".
