A Study On The Appellation Of Kinship In Wuming Zhuang Language

Kinship terms is the way of addressing the kinship between people. Since the formation of the human society, kinship terms has been used as the basic vocabulary in the language. On the one hand, as the basic vocabulary, kinship terms shows the stability of language, and it is vital for us to study evolution and development of the phonic, differentiation time of the language, kinship of the language, contact and fusion of the language. On the other hand, kinship terms and the national culture are closely related. Studying kinship terms is helpful for us to understand a nation’s ancient family marriage customs, ethnic character and social development. Therefore, it is of great significance to study kinship terms.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, this chapter includes the reason and significance of the topic, research on kinship terms at home and abroad, research objects and methods of the basic situation. The second chapter describes the semantic system of Wuming Zhuang language kinship. This chapter firstly introduced the related terminology and notation, and kinship terms is divided into spouses, blood relatives and in laws, such as the three relations, respectively illustrate the use of the form of a list. The third chapter detailed analysis of the semantic features of Wuming Zhuang language kinship. This chapter firstly analyze Wuming Zhuang language kinship term of sememe. According to the closeness of relationship will be divided into three levels and analyzed.Secondly, according to the principle of the eight classification of Kroeber, the category strength analysis is carried out. In the fourth chapter, the author introduces the pragmatic features of Wuming Zhuang language relatives appellation terms, this chapter is divided into three sections and it introduced the characteristics of use of Wuming Zhuang language in daily life. The fifth chapter analyzes the influence factors of Wuming Zhuang language kinship. Including four aspects of marriage, family, social culture and language contact.According to the study, compared to Chinese, Wuming Zhuang language kinship terms has differences and their own uniqueness in semantics, pragmatics. In semantics, Wuming Zhuang language kinship term does not distinguish between lineal and collateral blood relatives and in laws etc., younger relatives appellation terms do not distinguish between genders, elder relatives appellation terms distinguish the age of seniority and so on. In pragmatic, symmetry and cited have obvious differences, some habits appellation and young appellation is a special part of Wuming Zhuang language kinship terms. And there are many causes of these characteristics of kinship terms, including the ancient form of marriage and matriarchal society of rhyme, respecting for women, a traditional culture of respecting the old and cherish the young and long-term contact of Chinese.
