Research On The Image Of Farmers In Rural TV Dramas In Shandong

Fei Xiaotong once said society of China has the character of native soil, and local peasantry has always been the focus point of academic research. As a mass media art, TV drama has been actively involved in the construction of the image of Peasantry. Therefore,it is of great practical and theoretical significance to study the image of peasantry in TV drama. Shandong Province is a large agricultural province,and Shandong TV drama occupies a leading position in China. Therefore, focusing on the performance of the image of the peasantry, how does Shandong rural TV drama build them?What are the characteristics of the image of peasantry? what are the drawbacks and what factors was it shaped by? Based on these problems, I start the study of the paper.This paper takes nine rural TV dramas in Shandong Province since the recovery time, which begins in 2007, as the sample, and it mainly uses the method of textual analysis and literature research. Based on the research production of the related theories of TV art, narratology, sociology and literature and art on the image of peasantry in TV dramas. I try to explore the answers to the above questions,and then do some efforts to Shandong TV drama which is still in the initial stage. I also hope that the study can enrich connotation of the peasantry image research.Through the study,I find that farmers' images of Shandong rural theme in recovery period have typological characteristics: a new interpretation of the charismatic rural cadres, the rural rich who get lost under the impact of the market economy, the peasants of rural culture who stay in the rural areas to promote development and the rescued middle characters such as peasant-workers. Those farmers' images shows the Shandong temperament in terms of geographical environment, folk customs and spiritual quality. But the Shandong temperament of farmers' images have a tendency towards fiction. In short, farmers' images of Shandong rural theme are imaginary and following deficiencies still can be seen:first, neglecting the complexity and diversity of the peasants' life, the creator places the images of the peasants in a single topic of poverty alleviation and building a new countryside. And then the derivation that the binary opposition pattern of the rescuer and the saved of the peasants' image is prominent. In addition, the creators ignore the subjectivity of farmers, and lacks shaping the image of migrant farmers. The reason is that the Shandong rural theme TV series are influenced by the calling of national mainstream ideology and the knowledge elite caused by the other. Therefore, the creator must face the calling of national mainstream ideology , and sense the real depth of the farmers and rural areas, in order to create a lifelike, vivid farmers image.
