San Tendai Godai San Ki (Travel Notes of Wutai Mountain and Tiantai Mountan;???????)is written by a Japanese monk named Jyoujin during the Song dynasty. It is a diary recorded his process to travel across China and learn Buddhism. It doesn't only record history,but also record the language at that time.Mori Kimiyuki thought that San Tendai Godai San Ki is as good as Nittou Guhou Junrei Kouki(The record of a pilgrimage to China in Search of the Law;????????)in quality,they are the double super stars in diaries of travelling and learning Buddhism. The period Jyoujin lived in is North Song dynasty in China ,it is the start period of morden Chinese language; while it is Heian Jidai in Japan, Japan had developed its own national culture, and also developed a written language to record Japanese with Chinese characteristics. It is called Japanese Chinese. San Tendai Godai San Ki is just written in Japanese Chinese, Chinese words and Japanese words mix, so it is essential to do research on it viewed from Chinese and Japanese language.So ,in this Paper, I think the the language of San Tendai Godai San Ki is Japanese Chinese, then the recording function of Chinese characters is discussed. Besides,based on Corpus technology, the lexical classification of San Tendai Godai San Ki is analyzed. This paper also gives some new ideas on explicating complex words. I hope it will be helpful to proofread and understand its text. I also hope to make a little contribution to the research of San Tendai Godai San Ki.This paper contains four chapters:The first chapter is introduction, at the beginning is what San Tendai Godai San Ki is,the key point is the nationality of its language.Then author's life experience is talked, the family of Jyoujin is made clear by Exegesis .Next, talk the writing process of San Tendai Godai San Ki and its versions. Bedsides, talk about the research nowadays,shows the advantages and disadvantages ,further research is needed. In the end is the method of research and original text of this paper.The second chapter talks about the value of San Tendai Godai San Ki , shows that with accurate time and area ,it is a real and reliable document. And researching on its vocabulary can help proofread San Tendai Godai San Ki by lexical regularity.The third chapter is the composition of vocabulary in San Tendai Godai San Ki, including three parts:colloquial words , literary words and Japanese words. Based on them ,this paper tries to discuss the development of Chinese spoken language and Japanese written language in Song Dynasty. The fourth chapter is the explanation of complex words.Based on three points of view, including voice and text; history and culture ;information, this paper tries to explain the complex words in San Tendai Godai San Ki,and new ideas are put forward. While, there are also some words without accurate explanation right now, they are also recorded to call for help from good scholars.
