"The Music And Dance Of "Walking"": The Creation Of The Image Recording Works Of The Folk Songs And Dances Of The Yi People

The national culture of ethnic minority folk song and dance is the most explicit feature of symbol system,actually it was created by local people from their special communitylife and work,combined with their own traditional customs and characteristics.And documentaries,which provide us with true pictures of their life,can not only serve as a complete record of minority dance,furthermore help us understand the formation of a unique visual aesthetic,but also lead us to realize their ethnic psychology and culture connotation via these external manifestations of song and dance.The explicit characteristics and documentaries' records of the minority dances are complementary to each other,and this is a unique advantage for communication.The graduation work named 'walking dance' is in the form of image recording.The author of this paper carried out his research in Sani Village of Shilin Yi Nationality,and refers to the existing film and television theories as well as related experience and practice of Sani Dance to complete an ethnographic documentary.The film focused on Sani and Sani's folk songs and dances gathered in the Shilin area.Some representatives of the old.middle-aged and young people in the local villages are chosen as main shooting characters.Through their lives,psychological changes,and cultural awareness of their group ethnics,the author reveals Sani people's love for singing and dancing,as well as that under the influence of modern culture,people of different ages still love their traditional culture and the recreate and inherit their characteristics arts,and furthermore transform their songs and dances into a new art form the perspective of audiovisual aesthetics.The graduation thesis 'walkingdance' described the practice of this documentary from five aspects:early preparation,guidelines,methodology,practice and summary,and its meaning was summarized from the perspective of modern communication.Firstly,the background of the film,current modes and significant implications of Sani's songs and dances are explained,and under current development situations of related documentaries are given,the special value of this documentary is more obvious.Via narrative description the theme was expressed creatively and the content of research was enlarged.The second part of this work focuses on early preparation and practice,in order to provide a more complete theoretical and practical guideline for real work.The third part of this work is about mid-term's filming process,details of equipment,photography,photography skill and scene scheduling,as well as corresponding response to emergencies.The fourth part is about the whole film's post-production elaboration:selection of material,film's rough cut,material complementary,film's fine cut,color,special effects production,output,whole process has been carried out with theoretical and practical description.The last part of this work is a total summary,hoping to further enhance documentary theory and practice creation in the future from the perspective of modern communication and film anthropology.
