Analysis Of The Quantifiers And Errors Of Human Organs In Modern Chinese From The Perspective Of Cognition

The concept of human organs measure words in modern Chinese is that kind of words or monemes which are borrowed from the nouns of human organs or bodies to put into the position of the structure of "numeral + measure words + noun"," numeral + measure words+ verb " or "verb + numeral + measure words " and convey the function of measurement and counting.It includes two kinds of measure words,one is borrowing measure words which have transformed from nouns to measure words,another one is temporary measure words which just temporary borrow from nouns.The article describes the measure words of human organs in the perspective of semantics,syntax and pragmatics and figure out the rational concept and related teaching suggestion about human organs measure words.First the article divides human organs measure words into prototype measure words and non-prototype measure words from different levels.Non-prototype measure words consist of noun measure words and verbal measure words,while prototype measure words only consist noun measure words.Then the article discusses the properties of human organs measure words from their semantic,grammatical and pragmatic aspects.Semantically,non-prototype measure words contain the meaning of provisionality,capacitability and adherence;while prototype measure words have already lost their original meaning.Grammatically,all of the minor categories of human organs measure words are reduplicated,number selective,expansive etc.Pragmatically,human organs measure words own the feature of subjectivity and humorousness.Next,the article concludes that the differences in the language structure of human organs measure words always reflect the differences in their cognitive functions based on the cognitive linguistics theory,reduplication motive research and distance motive research.Finally,according to second language acquisition theory,the article discusses foreign students' differences in the use of the measure words and human organs measure words,as well as the minor categories of human organs measure words.Based on all these work,the article offers some teaching suggestions for TCFL teachers:first,make full use of "ge(?)";then teach non-prototype measure words to help students gain language sense;at last,teach prototype measure words.
