A Brief Talk On The Application And Development Of The Rapid Reference Technique Of Guzheng In Music

Gu zheng(Chinese zither) with a history of more than 2500 years has produced many rich repertoire and many genres. However, its playing techniques have been developing slowly. In the 1970s, the system of rapid finger sequence playing technique created by Zhaomanqin who came from Henan has made Gu zheng take a decisive step from color instrument to melody line. By comparing the traditional playing techniques with finger sequence playing technique,this article states the analysis of transcriptions and the application of the rapid finger sequence technique .MrWangzhongshan is one of the representatives for the development of the rapid finger sequence playing technique,who adapted much Gu zheng music by using rapid finger sequence playing technique,leading to some positive contributions to this technique. As a independent and new system of finger playing techniques, the rapid finger sequence playing technique makes the gu zheng have a characteristic of the color instrument and melody line, laying a solid foundation for the further development of gu zheng and making the gu zheng has an even broader prospect of development.From the large quantities of documents looked through by the author, much research about this part only focused on the system of rapid finger sequence itself, or the application of some technique in a single piece. In this paper, I study the application of the rapid finger sequence playing technique in various modern qu zheng music and its development prospects.
