The Influence Of Zen On Wang Shizhen's Poetry And Practice

Zen is a religious form with Chinese characteristics,which is produced by the collision of Chinese native culture and foreign buddhism.Poetry and Zen exchange from the beginning of the northern and Southern Dynasties,Zen contected with poeticsince since Tang and the Five Dynasties,Wang Changling,Jiaoran have some of the concepts used in the Zen poetry theory.On the basis of summing up the achievements of predecessors in the Southern Song Dynasty,Yan Yu put forward the theory of "Yi chan yu shi".On the basis of inheriting the predecessors' theory,Wang Shizhen gradually constructed the theoretical system of romantic poetics.Wang Shizhen's charm is influenced by many theories,of which the most important is the Yan Yu "changlangshihua",Sikongtu "twenty-four poems" and the theory of painting.Wang Shizhen respected Yan Yu "thought Buddhist poetry",he has close relationship with Zen which influence his poetic theory and poetry practice traces.Wang Shizhen further on the basis of Yan Yu,put forward the "Zen poetry",in its own practice,also reflected by his poetic aesthetic ideal.This paper is divided into five parts: the first chapter introduces the development process of Chinese,Zen Buddhism and the main theories,such as "heart is Buddha" "Epiphany" "by means of non-literature" etc..In the second chapter,the author discusses the influence of Zen on the Chinese traditional literary concept,and analyzes in detail from the aspects of philosophy of life.The third chapter introduces the close relationship between Wang Shizhen and Zen meditation practice.The fourth chapter introduces the influence of Zen on the theory of verve poetry,mainly from the following aspects: the study of poetry,the creation of thinking as well as the poetry and Zen in three aspects.The fifth chapter discusses the charm of Wang Shizhen's poetry practice,under the influence of Zen,the main style and artistic features,etc..The sixth chapter discusses the status and influence of verve theory.
