The purpose of this paper is to explore the different effects of procedural and traditional teaching methods in Latin dance teaching.And through the analysis and comparison,explain the procedural teaching method and the traditional teaching method of their own advantages and disadvantages in the teaching,so as to provide some references for improving the quality of Latin dance teaching.At the same time,using the procedural teaching method in the teaching,in order to enhance students' awareness of the subject,and to increase the enthusiasm and initiative of students during learning.To strengthen the exercise of students' self-learning' ability and to improve the psychological status of students and so on.This paper takes the comparison between the procedural teaching method and the traditional teaching method in the Latin dance teaching as the research object.Using literature material,expert interviews,teaching experiment,questionnaire investigation,statistics and comparative analysis etc,by way of the specific Latin dance classroom practice,respectively,the use of procedural teaching method and traditional teaching method for students to learn bronze medal technology of Cha Cha dance.And after the teaching experiment,the conclusions and recommendations of the study are:The conclusions:(1)In the Latin dance elective course,the application of the procedural teaching method and the traditional teaching method have a certain degree of good influence on the development of students' physical quality,but the program is more beneficial to development explosive,speed and endurance,flexible quality of students.(2)The application of the procedural teaching method and the traditional teaching method in Latin Dance Teaching,Which has the same influences on the study of students' Dancing Theory knowledge.In the quality of technical action to complete,and the integrity and clarity of action appearance,applying the procedural teaching method is better than the traditional teaching method.(3)Program teaching can provide students with a relatively free learning space,which is conducive to each student can play their own subjective role.Not only strengthening the exercise and training of students' self-learning ability,but also improving the interest and enthusiasm of learning for students.(4)The effect of the application of procedural teaching method in Latin Dance teaching is superior to traditional teaching method.It is able to meet the actual needs of students,and makes students have higher satisfaction of Teaching Experience.(5)The application of procedural teaching method is favorable to the Mental Health of College Students.And it has a more positive impact on the improvement of students'self-emotional management ability.(6)Program teaching can improve the teaching efficiency of teachers,and it is conducive to teachers taking care of individual and better play the role of teachers.The suggestions:(1)For beginners who learn the sport that performance of difficult and beauty or technology action of more complex,can use step-by-step procedural teaching method to learn.(2)Although the application of procedural teaching method in Latin dance teaching is better than that of traditional teaching method,but these two teaching methods have their own advantages and disadvantages.Therefore,teachers should be based on the actual situation in teaching,focus on the effective combination of a variety of teaching methods,learn from other's strong points to offset one's weakness,avoid dogmatism.(3)In the process of Students' learning feedback is given to strengthen,teachers should use more positive stimulus.But also to grasp the enhanced interval,and to combine the stimulus of fixed time with the stimulus of changed time,to make students'the memory of action and the improvement of technology to get a positive role in promoting.(4)Teachers should be reasonable division of teaching content unit,the decomposition of technical action and some small steps should not be too small,so as not to make it difficult for students to master the core of action technology.It is suggested that the stage of testing and evaluation should be adopted in the teaching process.
