Procrastination is very common in daily life,which means to irrationally postpone the start and completion of tasks,study shows the delay behavior is prevalent in a cross-culture.Academic procrastination is defined which occur in learning scenario.Irrational time using is the main outer performance.Because course arrangements,learning methods,teaching time have much change in university and the freshman have more free time relatively,academic procrastination is exposed day and day.Academic procrastination is the way which the freshman is not suited to university life.This study is to research the relationship between the freshman self-efficacy,locus of control and academic procrastination and the cause of the freshman's academic procrastination,so as to provide more guidance for the freshman' procrastination intervention,and help them adapt smoothly through the learning period.This study used a questionnaire survey,empirical research methods,with 372 college students as the research object,to explore the relationship between academic procrastination and the locus of control,self-efficacy.This study to survey the as the basis for the design of college students self-efficacy group intervention programs,from the college student's cognition,behavior and emotion three aspects of college students learning delay status to intervene,and through the experimental group and the control group the control and intervention of group scheme in evaluation.The result is as follows:(1)The degree of academic procrastination of freshmen is not high,and there is no significant difference in demographic variables.(2)There is a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination,which has a significant positive correlation with the locus of control.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the locus of control and academic procrastination,in which the individuals with internal control have less academic procrastination,and the external controlled individuals are opposite.(4)The locus of control is partly mediated by the sense of self-efficacy and academic procrastination.(5)The academic delay of gratification played an intermediary role in the relationship between the academic self-efficacy and academic procrastination.(6)Group intervention can improve the level of self-efficacy effectively.
