Space Production And Human Development

Whether classic Marxists or Western Marxists,they always adhere to the theory of the overall freedom in development of human beings.They criticize the capitalist production from the characteristics of their times,interpreting the living conditions of human beings and then exploring many ways to achieve the overall freedom in development of human beings.Harvey is a Western Marxist whose prominent theoretical feature is to interpret the capitalist mode of production from the perspective of geographical space.In the era of globalization,the study of the current development of capitalism from the perspective of space has become the focus of humanities and social sciences research.From status quo of worldwide capital flow,capital exists in any region and any area and affects the existing and development of people all around the world.According to the influence of Harvey's space production theory,the view is widely recognized by academia.The paper has made an in-depth interpretation on Harvey's theory of space production from the perspective of human development.This paper consists five parts in structure.In the introduction of the first part,the author introduces the practical significance and the theoretical value of "space production and human development,the thinking venation of the author,David Harvey,the view of the domestic and foreign scholars on this topic and the research methods,innovation point and writing focus of this paper.The second part mainly introduces the spatial theory of Harvey from the transfer of capital in time and space and the control of capital to time and space,in which the author discuss the transfer of capital in time and space from the theory of"time-space fix" and accumulation by dispossession.Capital control to time and space order is based on that to the global political and human being in time and space.The third part mainly discusses the relationship between capital space production and actual existence of contemporary people from various aspects such as the influence of capital space production on human culture,spirit,material condition,political rights and living environment.The fourth part introduces the content of Harvey's alternative to capitalism-that is,to achieve the comprehensive development of human beings through the dialectical space-time utopia and revolutionary humanitarianism and to evaluate the alternative solution from the aspects of theoretical value and infeasibility of the program.The fifth part discusses the revelation of Harvey's theory to the development of our country,providing a solution on how to realize the consensus between capital utilization and human development.
