As the rapid development of information technology and the popularity of MOOC,the flipped classroom prevails as a brand-new teaching method in the educational field.It features as a reversed model in which the students preview the teaching videos recorded by teachers or downloaded from the Internet before going to the classroom.And during the class,more attention will be put on the teacher-students interactions to help students better understand and comprehend the related knowledge rather than focusing on the traditional lecturing.Targeting at the teaching aims advocated by UNESCO and the new curriculum standard in China,the flipped classroom lies stress on cultivating self-study ability and a student-centered pattern.Thus how to enhance college students' self-study ability is of vital importance in the light of the idea of flipped classroom.There are few researches on flipped classroom model because of its short history in our country,and the author makes the research of students in certain department in Qiqihar University by analysis,interviews and questionnaire from multidimensional levels of self-study which include analysis on study motives? time? method? process? result and environment.Finally the conclusion are as fellows: the flipped classroom under the MOOC context contributes to improve the students' self-study ability and promote their interest in learning foreign languages to some degree but less effect on some certain students.Hence more respect should be put on objective facts towards adopting new teaching ideas and models,that is,teaching should be in accordance with time?place and people.
