Garden Description And Culture Studies In The Vernacular Novels Of The Ming Dynasty

The researches in relationship between vernacular novels of the Ming dynasty and garden art,academically,are based on the discussion which from different types,the result always shows only one feature in garden narrative study,readers cannot explore the connection in different kinds of literature clearly.Focusing on garden description in 18 representative vernacular novels of the Ming dynasty,content of research includes text construction,image construction,culture construction in garden description.Moreover,there is a special kind of social phenomenon in which the culture of refined and vulgar coexists peacefully in Ming dynasty,so the article analyses its concrete embodiment during the writing.There are six parts in the article,including introduction,five chapters and conclusion:The introduction part introduces objects of the study and meanings of selected topic particularly,the article takes four key words-the Ming dynasty,novel of the Ming dynasty,vernacular novels of the Ming dynasty,garden,garden description�as an example,and limits the sentence-oriented research.Secondly,the article explains the meaning from four aspects-expanding the research object,developing the relationship between garden and characters,strengthening the analysis of the Ming chronology,construction of spiritual civilization from different social classes.Thirdly,detailing versions of vernacular novels,so the errors which caused by different versions will be reduced.Besides,this part also analyzes the train of thought and methods of research,current situation and research recitation,summarizing the instructive reference.The second chapter is the description of the garden.Making reference to the academic achievements in classifying vernacular novels of the Ming dynasty,this part establishes a set of standards which are suitable for this article.Secondly,summarize the collaborative feathers of garden description in vernacular novels of the Ming dynasty.Thirdly,analyze the most outstanding feature of description in different types of vernacular novels.The third chapter is the text construction in garden description.Firstly,introducing garden types in vernacular novels of Ming dynasty-royal garden,private garden,temple garden,public gardens,alien gardens,and other gardens-and discussing the function of each type,as well as the meaning that author designed.The fourth chapter is the image construction in garden description.Firstly,introduce four most common image types in garden description of vernacular novels.Secondly,introduce a special type of image individually-allusions.Thirdly,exploring the implied meaning,multi-layer meaning,and meanings of inheritance and development the former dynasties from three aspects-reference meaning,polysemy,the development of meaning.At last,raise image research to the research of artistic conception,and discussing the skills for generating it.The fifth chapter is the culture in garden description.Firstly,starting by the construction of culture,analyze different kinds of culture in garden description,and its effects for writing,and the true,kind,beauty things for novels.Secondly,analyze the aesthetic levels,from aesthetic perception,aesthetic imagination,sentiments step by step.
