Chongxin Folk Song Research

As an important component of Longdong folk song,Chongxin folk song manifests the essence of agricultural civilization and the long history of art,giving a vivid picture of Chongxin landscape.Chongxin folk song has its own distinctive characteristics in Chongxin culture.With its prominent influence and profound cultural connotation,Chongxin folk song has become a musical art form with a vivid illustration of the unique local cultural customs.Chongxin folk song can be divided into five categories according to the genre,namely,flower class,chant class,minor class,folk song and yangko(a popular rural folk dance).As for the content,Chongxin folk song mainly expresses love and marriage,promotes traditional Chinese morality and etiquette,tells the myth,history and legend of the ancient China,and etc.Obviously,it primarily reflects social life and productive labors.And with the development of the times,it involves current events and policies.The musical structure of Chongxin folk song deals with single-sentence pattern,three-sentence pattern,four-sentence pattern and multi-sentence pattern,with shangdiao and zhidiao as the mostly used modes.There is no big span or degree change in the musical scale of melody,commonly three or five degrees.Its local characteristics are mainly reflected in the localization of dialect,lining words and tunes as well as literacy.Today,Chongxin folk song is confronting a number of problems.On one hand,with reduced inheritors,the diminished influence and multicultural shock,the target audience of Chongxin folk song is now decreased.On the other hand,with rapid growth of China's economy,traditional folk song has been marginalized against the background of change taken in language form.All above mentioned weaknesses slow down the pace of its inheritance and creation.Although the local government take initiatives to guide folk song development,people act in the other way round.The creation and development of folk song is a totally new topic due to its passiveness in creation and near-total isolation from daily living and production.To cope with dilemma faced by Chongxin folk song,we should give priority to the collection and exploration of Chongxin folk song,taking advantage of tourism and cultural markets to realize the transformation of Chongxin folk song and jogging creativity by using modern media.While,the most important way to popularize this traditional folk song is to concentrate our efforts on education and on supporting to academia.As the widely quoted saying goes "the economic basis determines superstructure",protection of Chongxin folk song based on the access to funds and resources and its inheritance should ultimately count on social spontaneity.This paper aims to meet the new demands and reach the new heights of Chinese folklore art through the collection and research of Chongxin folk song,and extract the related artistic features on the basis of systemizing Chongxin folk song.This paper includes six parts.The first part is an introduction to the related background of the topic selected,the main purpose and meaning of the paper,the status,emphasis,difficulties and innovation points of the study and the definition of the basic concepts in this paper.It lays a foundation for the contents below.The second part is an elaboration of the environment in which Chongxin folk song was born and its current status.The third part is the summary and classification of the type,features and contents of Chongxin folk song.The fourth part is a concrete analysis of the artistic features of Chongxin folk song,teasing out its art form and local color respectively in two sections.The fifth part is a conclusion of the inheritance and value of Chongxin folk song.The sixth part discusses the contemporary difficulties faced by Chongxin folk song,and presents the author's consideration and countermeasure towards them.Serving as the last part,the conclusion part summarizes the whole passage and shows the development and inheritance of Chongxin folk song in the future.This paper aims to foster national cultural confidence with the study of Chongxin folk song and dig out its art value to unfold the long history and brilliant culture of Chongxin.
