| This report selects Form 7.06 and Form 7.10 in Legal Opinion Letters Formbook as the source text to translate.Opinion letters formbook is one of the formbook in the legal writing formbook.Form 7.06 is about the secured syndicated loan facility and the Form 7.10 is bout asset acquisition.From the point of view of English-Chinese translation translator focuses on the discussion of the translation strategies of parallel structures in the opinion letter.For the parallel structures as the predicate,translator uses the strategies of repeating subject and translating with logical thinking,for the parallel structures as the objection,translator uses the strategies of amplification of general words and repeating the subject and predicate,for the parallel structures as the adverbial,translator uses the strategies of reversing the adverbial and amplification of adverbial.And then translates the clauses in the opinion letter with the strategies of dismantling the syntactic and negation with the same meaning.Finally,translator makes a summary of the translation strategies to the opinion letter in order to be used for the reference to translation of similar texts. |
