Family is the first place in the process of children's socialization,and it is the most important environment for children's growth.It will inevitably have an important impact on the formation and development of children's social skills.Research on social adaptability has become a hot topic for children with intellectual disabilities.More and more researchers have begun to pay attention to the family's influence on the social adaptability of mentally handicapped children.In this study,228 children with mental retardation were selected and family intimacy,parental rearing patterns,and social adjustment characteristics of children with mental retardation were measured using the Family Intimacy and Adaptation Scale,the Q Classification Questionnaire,and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire.Family intimacy was further explored.The relationship between degree and adaptability,parental rearing style and mental retardation children's social adaptability.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Fathers of college or higher education and college education scored significantly higher scores in family intimacy and adaptability than those in high school or below,and mothers with university education or above had significantly higher scores in family intimacy and adaptability than college students.High school and below.(2)Family intimacy and adaptability of middle-income and high-income families are significantly higher than that of low-income families.(3)There is a significant difference in father's educational level in accepting warmth,independent encouragement,social encouragement,achievement encouragement,control,high-intensity control,and low-intensity control,while mother's education level is warm in acceptance,social encouragement and There are significant differences in factors such as low intensity control.(4)The parental rearing styles of low-income families scored significantly lower than those of middle-income families and high-income families,while the low-income family children were significantly higher than those of high-income families.(5)The number of attention deficit defects in females with intellectualdisabilities was significantly higher than that in males,while the scores of peer relationships in males with mental retardation scores were significantly higher than females.The scores of emotional problems of children with mental retardation in the 13-15 age group were significantly lower than those in the 7-9and 10-12 age groups.(6)Children with intellectual disabilities with different educational backgrounds had significant differences in hyperactivity deficits,emotional problems and peer relationships.(7)The parental rearing mode plays a partial intermediary role between family intimacy and adaptation and social adaptation of children with intellectual disabilities.That is to say,the parental rearing style can directly affect the family's intimacy,adaptability and social adaptability of the children with intellectual disabilities.It also indirectly influences the social adaptability of children with intellectual disabilities through the parenting style.
