On October 23,1924,Feng Yuxiang,Hu Jingyi, and Sun Yue launched the Capital Revolution.Sun Yat-sen,one of Chinese major political forces, was invited to solve the current situation in the North. On December 4,1924,when he arrived in Tianjin,Sun Yat-sen,who planned to go to Beijing on December 7th,fell ill and decided to stay in Tianjin for a period of illness.During the period of Tianjin, preliminary treatment were conducted by German doctors and Japanese doctors. With the urging of the parties and aggravation of the disease,Sun Yat-sen,who had stayed in Tianjin in recent months, entered Beijing on December 31,and stayed at the Beijing Hotel to receive medical treatment from a Beijing doctor. On January 23,1925,Dr.Sun Yat-sen's condition went badly and he entered the Peking Union Medical College Hospital for surgery on the 26 th.He was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer.Western doctors believed that the medicine stone had no medical treatment.However,Dr.Sun Yat-sen chose to try radium treatment. After the inactivation of radium,he moved to the Iron Lion Hutong on February 18 th,1925 to undergo trials of traditional Chinese medicine and other therapies.March 12,1925,Sun Yat-sen died of liver cancer later died. This article takes Sun Yat-sen's cancer as the starting point, starting from the three aspects of disease, politics and medical care, restoring Sun Yat-sen's dying process and exploring the complex political and cultural ecology behind it.First,by sorting out the records of the newspapers, people around Sun Yat Sen,and the autopsy reports of Sun Yat-sen,the author restored Sun Yat-sen's overall condition development and treatment status during the period of Tianjin,Beijing Hotel,Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Iron Lion Hutong. It is not difficult to find that, compared with the general public,Dr.Sun Yat-sen who has more superior medical resources, has also experienced a thousands of returns in the diagnosis of cancer. From the illness of Tianjin to the operation of Peking Union Medical College Hospital for nearly two months, his condition was judged from the temporary cold,to recurrence of cholecystitis,to hepatic abscess and late stage of liver cancer. He only needed to rest to Western medicine to declare despair. The main reason for the long process twists and turns is that the diagnosis technology has fallen behind in the 1920 s.Second, when sorted out Sun Yat-sen's dying process, the author discovered that Sun Yat-sen's disease was under a special political environment, because of his specialpolitical identity and branded a strong political color.Sun Yat-sen's body was temporarily covered by political symbols. For Sun Yat-Sen,the disease not only serves as a political means to cope with the current situation, but also provides a buffer for the Kuomintang's decision-making.It also becomes a political object of attack and brings a crisis to the Kuomintang. Finally,as a physical disease, cancer treatment eventually returns to the medical field. After Western medicine fails to cure,Dr.Sun Yat-sen's body begins to return to the body of the disease.Around the treatment of Sun Yat-Sen cancer,Chinese and Western medicine practitioners have their own cognitions and perform their respective functions. This reflects the differences and conflicts between Chinese and Western medicine.Dr.Sun Yat-sen,who was educated in a new generation of Western medicine, chose western medicine as the mainstay. The ability of Chinese medicine to intervene in Sun Yat-sen's cancer treatment stems from the fact that ancient China had already had cancer. However, after all, this cancer is not that cancer, and Chinese medicine as a complementary therapy does not have much use. From the perspective of Dr.Sun Yat-sen's cancer treatment and the attitudes of people at the time,Chinese medicine practitioners in the1920 s have been unable to compete with Western medicine, and their debilitating trends are unobstructed.
