Since1901, Nobel Peace Prize for its uniqueness as well as a high honor in the field of peace, has been attracting worldwide attention. Due to its high honor, rich bonus and luxury scene, it has inspired countless people and organizations engaged in the cause of peace and worked hard toward this goal. Since its inception, it affects the world's peace process and the development and change of international relations in its own unique way. However, since World War ?, especially in the last20years, the connotation of the Nobel peace prize has changed a lot, it also has become one of the most challenged awards. The head of the military superpower, the manufacturer of the international disputes, the separatist and the anti-humanity and anti-social persons have frequently been awarded the Peace Prize. Obviously, the establishment of the Nobel peace prize has played a positive role in promoting the development of international relations towards peace, but inevitably, it still exists many problems.This paper attempts to explore the impact of the Nobel Peace Prize on international relations and related issues from the following aspects:first of all, point out the origin of the Nobel peace prize, set goals, and analyze the development and characteristics of the Nobel peace prize from the previous issuance. Secondly, discuss the role of the Nobel peace prize in promoting the development of international relations and its problems in a comprehensive way. Finally, elaborate the relations between Nobel peace prize and China from the award-winning examples of the Dalai Lama and Liu Xiaobo.
