Research On The Relationship Between The KMT And The CPC Since The Reform And Opening Up

CPC-KMT relationship is a extremely important research topic in the field of Modern Chinese History, and it's characteristics are realistic and political. On the stage of Modern Chinese History, Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang play decisive roles. During the90years history, the CPC and the KMT have two cooperations and two divisions. The second division caused the cross-strait confrontation. The development of CPC-KMT relations affects cross-strait relationship, and it becomes one of the important factors to solve the Taiwan issue.In this paper, the logical starting point is the relationship between the KMT and the CPC from the confrontation to easing situation. The paper makes a basic analysis and research of the development of CPC-KMT relationship in nearly30years. Through the analysis and research of CPC-KMT relations since the Reform and Opening up, then the paper summes up the basic experiences, and examines the characteristics and laws of the CPC-KMT relationship development. At last, it presents views about the future development of CPC-KMT relations as well as the cross strait relations.Based on this concept, this study is divided into four parts:The first part, mainly summes up the basic situation of the KMT-CPC relationship since Reform and Opening up, including three stages:the relaxation period, turbulent change period and the new cooperative period.The second part, focus on the analysis of CPC-KMT relations'specific characteristics in each of the different stages since the Reform and Opening up, which is the key part of the article. This chapter explains the background and reasons about the different features, so as to deeply understand the variation of the CPC-KMT relationship.The third part summes up the basic experiences of the CPC-KMT relations since the Reform and Opening up. It mainly includes the important cornerstone, principle, necessary condition, link and the effective ways of the CPC-KMT relationship.Finally, the fourth part is prospected the developments of CPC-KMT relations and cross-strait relations, and proposed the countermeasures to promote the cross-strait relationship and the complete reunification of the motherland.
