Since modern times,Japan has been paying much attention to the South China Sea areas.However,different degree of attention and emphasis were given in South China Sea areas in various periods and historical stage of development.After World War II,Japan attaches importance to South China Sea areas,and regards its surrounding areas as Japanese commodity market,producing area and investment place.Otherwise,Japan regards South China Sea areas as his lifeline of marine transportation.After the end of the Cold War,with the rise of China and the extension of regional influence,and the regional intensified dispute around the ownership issue of South China Sea islands,Japan enhances the Non-Traditional Security cooperation with surrounding Countries of South China Sea areas in the name of anti-terrorism and anti-piracy to keep ensuring the security of commodity market,producing area,investment place and lifeline of marine transportation in South China Sea areas,and Japan positively involves in the dispute of South China Sea islands depending on Japan-US alliance and continuous pushed the issue to be internationalized.Japan tries to contain the China's rise and increasingly influence in South China Sea areas by means of the above strategies.It makes no contribution to solve the ownership of the South China Sea islands peacefully for The Japan-America forces' involving in South China Sea issue.On the contrary,it makes South China Sea to be a platform for other powers' coping.Great powers' involvement in South China Sea not only can't relax the regional security situation,but increase its complexity and vulnerability.Around the South China Sea issue,countries run into vicious circle of crisis of confidence and military contest,which is bad for East Asian area's peace and stability,the development of regional economical integration,the improvement of China and Japan's relationship,and the new pattern of relationship between China and America.
