A Comparative Study Of The Political And Cultural Transformation Of Germany And Japan After The Second World War

Politics not only represents the institutional form of a country,but also shows a special culture type.The political culture occurs in the politicking of the human's social life,meanwhile it has a big influence on the whole political system and the whole politicking.The political culture that dominates and reflects the will of the dominant class helps to keep their rules,consolidate the state power and guide the direction of the state developing strategies.So political culture is a special phenomenon of politics which needs to be highly valued by modern politics research.Even though we won the victory of the Global War against Fascism 71 years ago,peace and development are still the two important themes of today.Germany and Japan that lost the war 71 years ago also experienced a 71-year-process of reconstruction,and they become the strong powers again in this world,but they have chosen an opposite way to develop themselves.In recent years Japan continues to stir up troubles to make itself an unstable factor.It has departed from the original intention of the after-war “Peace Institution”.But let's look at Germany.Its politic system continues to insist on the ideas of peace and cooperation.Germany has played a very important role in facing the series of terrorism that are happening in Europe,the problem of refugee and financial crisis.The materialistic dialectics tells us if the external factor wants to play a role in something,it needs the internal factor.If we want to analyze the reason behind the phenomenon and understand the strategies of these two countries and predict the development of these two countries,it's necessary for us to do the research and compare the transition of political culture in the after-war70 years.Based on the guidance of the historical materialism and dialectical materialism,synthesizing politics,history,sociology and other relative theories,we use the document research,historical analysis and comparing analysis and other research methods,we can know the difference of their attitude towards the war and the way they reconstructed their political culture.We can summarize the basic direction of their political culture transition after researching on the political transition based on the geographical background,traditional culture and the characteristics of the nation and comparing the factors of the targeted clearing and transformation done by the dominant power.Germany basically finished the transformation of the idea from the nationalism to “being a part of the Europe” and gave up the idea of authoritarianism.The idea of democratic politics has been accepted by most of the people and it is also a good way to boycott extremism and obtain the legal institution.But for Japan,conservatism is becoming the dominant value and active parties have the trend of having similar values.Meanwhile,the whole nation's political consciousness is becoming more and more conservative.Neo-chauvinism and neo-nationalism are becoming more and more popular and the after-war peace is in great danger.It cannot be denied that the transformation of the two countries are quite successful.It not only fits the national situation but also play a very good role in developing the economic,science and other fields.But comparing with Germany that has already won the respect and confirmation by the whole world,we need to pay more attention to Japan which want to get more army and become a superpower in the world.
