Both Germany and Singapore follow the pattern of parliamentary republic. However, the two countries, Germany and Singapore, locate in west and east respectively, there are some parallels between the political systems of these two countries. Especially, according to the correct positioning of political system after the Second World War, the economy of the two countries is developing fast. From the Comparison Study between Germany and Singapore parliamentary republic, we will know the establishment and development of the political system of the two nations and the reasons why they choose this political system. It is significant to the democratization construction and development of economy of our country.Except the part of Introduction, this paper is divided into five things. The first part is mainly discussion to the political system of Germany and Singapore. At first, it briefly summarizes the foundation of the evolution and establishment of the political system in these two countries and then it dose a comparative analysis of political culture change in Germany and Singapore after the World War II. The second part does a comparison between the Germany and Singapore's Parliament. Based on the situation of the countries, Germany is a typical bicameral country, which are the Bundestag and Bundesrat, at the same time, Singapore is taken to a unicameral system. The third part contrasted the political party system of Germany and Singapore. Germany is a typical multi-party state, with fierce competitions in different political parties. And People's Action Party holds power in Singapore for decades. Part IV is a brief explanation of the government system in Germany and Singapore. Countries adopt a parliamentary republic form of government, hence, the Presidents in two countries do not have real power, and the government power is concentrated in Prime Minister. The last section is conclusion. Through the above analysis, we understand the cause and process of the political system in Germany and Singapore. Most important, it is vital that we should maintain a clear understanding of the culture between the West and the East.
