The paper aims to discuss the relationship between public opinion and diplomatic policy in South Korea and how public opinion influences the decision of Korean diplomatic policy.The public opinion has four approaches to influence the decision of Korean diplomatic policy.There are media,congress and parties,NGOs and consortium as well as nationalist trends.All in all,the public opinion is growing increasingly influential in Korea's diplomatic policy from the cold war to now.The first part of this article is to describe the developing process and characteristics of Korea's public opinion in past years at the beginning of historical changes.Secondly,it shows how public opinion influence the Korea's diplomatic policy by analyzing the influential approaches.Using Korea's beef import in Lee administration as an example,the paper deeply analyzes how public opinion influence the diplomatic policy.According to the effects of public opinion influencing the diplomatic policy to China,the paper finally get a conclusion that public opinion is the strongest power that cannot be neglected despite the various influential factors of Korea's diplomatic decision.Chinese government should draw a lesson from the Korean government and guide the public opinion correctly so that it can handle all the challenges.
