An Analysis Of The Reasons For Poor Quality Democracy In Taiwan

In this paper,the democratic quality of Taiwan as the object of study,the use of Asian democratic dynamic data and quantitative analysis of the method,trying to"Taiwan is now high quality democracy or poor democracy," the next conclusion.The basic conclusion is that Taiwan is a poor democracy.And analyzes the causes of the formation of poor quality democracy in Taiwan from three aspects:the judges in the judicial system,the media network in the phenomenon of populism,and the political parties in the transformation of justice through the theory of the actors in the"political-society".The article has five main parts:Part I,Introduction.The content includes the background of the topic,the current situation of the research,the limitation of the research,the innovation of the article,the definition of the core concept,the research method and the analytical framework,and pave the way for the follow-up.Part 2,theory and reflection.The main contents are two parts:First,the existing democratic quality evaluation system to sum up and reflect on the evaluation of democratic quality of Taiwan to select the appropriate indicators and methods.Second,the theory of interpretation of low-quality democracy to sort out and reflect on the analysis of Taiwan's poor cause of democracy to build the theory.The purpose of this chapter is to build a theoretical basis for the following,so that the following can be a reasonable discussion.Part 3 is the evaluation of Taiwan's democratic quality.Based on the construction of Taiwan's democratic quality evaluation system,combined with the dynamic information of Asian democracy,the quality of Taiwan's democratic evaluation.To solve two problems:First,the "Taiwan is a good quality of democracy or poor democracy," given an explanatory answer;Second,the following reasons for the analysis of poor reasons for Taiwan's poor.This part has two pieces of content:one is from the democratic process,the content of democracy,the results of democracy,the three latitudes of the democratic quality of Taiwan to measure,the second is to evaluate the results of the measurement,resulting in Taiwan is poor democracy.Part 4 analyzes the causes of poor democracy in Taiwan.This paper explores the reasons for the poor performance of Taiwan's democracy in the five aspects of "rule by law","horizontal accountability","vertical accountability","equality" and"responsiveness" in the construction of the "political-social" theory.Specifically,there are three reasons:the judges in the judicial system to deepen the impasse in Taiwan's administrative legislation,populism in the media to strengthen the formation of social confrontation,the transformation of justice in the political parties to strengthen the party confrontation.Part 5,Conclusion.To summarize the paper and summarize some of the experience and methods.
