South Korean Japanese "comfort Women" Investigation Aid Activities Research

During the Second World War,the Japanese government forced women to serve as sex slaves of the Japanese army,owing the people of Asia and the rest of the world sinful blood debts.Although World War II has passed many years,the Japanese government still denies its responsibility for the issue of "comfort women" and its crimes which is against hundreds of thousands of victims.At the same time,the Japanese government also does not make a formal apology and compensation,causing great resentment and resistance from countries concerned and the international community.As one of the most affected victims of "comfort women" system,South Korea has made unremitting efforts to resolve this issue from the government to the victims in domestic since the 1990 s.In order to promote the "comfort women" issue completely solved and to restore the victims' reputation and dignity,the Korean government not only requires the Japanese government to make the truth that forcing thousands of women into prostitution clear but also to make formal apology and legal compensation to the victims,On the other hand,the Korean government itself conducts a lot of social surveys and aid activities,and constantly improves the aid mechanism to victims and legislative mechanism.Meanwhile,there are several folk groups set up to solve the problem of "comfort women" issue,such as stand team problems countermeasures,daegu civic groups,team issues countermeasures of busan agreements,etc.Many measures are employed to restore the reputation and dignity of the victims by setting up "comfort women" declaration phone,raising money for the "comfort women" victims,setting up the Statue of Peace and Wednesday assembly.As for these victims themselves,they fight for their rights by making testimony,participating in social activities,creating paintings and holding exhibitions around the world.These measures have played an important role in solving the issue of "comfort women" at home and abroad.This thesis,according to the analysis of survey research and aid activities done by the south Korean government,civil organizations and survivors,is targeted to make a further understanding of the essence of the "comfort women" issue and the current situation of the domestic survey and assistance,and to analyze the significance of these measures to solve this issue.At the same time,in contrast with China's domestic situation,we can understand the difference between the two countries and the enlightenment brought to us,furthermore,find,in terms of the international situation,a new way to solve "comfort women" issue.
