Remember For Reflection

Due to the limitations of the different historical roles of the victims and the injured countries,there are significant differences between japanese society's understanding of the issue of "comfort women" and that of most of the affected countries.Nevertheless,there are still some groups in Japan whose positions are close to those of the affected countries,namely,advocating reflection on the war of aggression waged by Japan during World War II,bearing in mind the issue of "comfort women" and demanding an apology from the Government of Japan for compensation.Studying this Japanese group will help us to observe and understand Japanese society in depth,more objectively and more comprehensively,so as to enhance mutual trust between the Chinese and Japanese peoples,expand the space for exchanges between China and Japan,and provide a meaningful reference for China and Japan to jointly safeguard peace and stability in Asia.This article focuses on the Women's active museum on war and peace,a trauma memorial dedicated to the issue of "comfort women".Located in West Waseda,Shinjuku District,Tokyo,Japan,the museum was founded by the late Asahi journalist and women's campaigner Ms.Hideki Matsui,co-founded by Mizuko 0)Sano,Mizuko Ikeda and others,based on a gender perspective on sexual violence in wartime and advocating for peace and non-violence.Its purpose is to achieve a future free of violence and discrimination.By introducing the life,creation process,display content,major publications and social activities related content of the founder of the library,this paper shows the efforts of some groups in Japanese society that advocate bearing in mind the issue of "comfort women" and demanding an apology and compensation from the Japanese government.It also explores the significance and value of the Archives for Victims of Sexual Violence in Wartime,which is to promote the Japanese people to bear in mind historical facts,uphold women's human rights and open up a peaceful future.In the discussion,the differences in understanding of the issue of "comfort women" between the victims and the injured countries are highlighted,and new possibilities are explored for the two societies to understand each other on the premise of respecting history.
