National Identity Research After Ukraine's Independence

In the end of 2013,Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych suspended the signing of contact country agreement with EU,which bccame a fuse for the crisis in the Ukraine.After the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis,the concern quickly become a hot topic to the international community.Something hides the irreconcilable opposition to the path of national development in Ukraine after the crisis.NATO's eastward expansion of geopolitical pressure,the merger history with Russia for more than three centuries has always been an important factor affecting the national security strategy of Ukraine.Since Ukraine independence,all previous governments have integrated into Europe as a priority for foreign policy,only in different periods of performance is different,Ukraine's foreign policy do not show a strong coherence and continuity with the government's change,coupled with the instability of domestic economic development,People are unsatisfied with the government's discontent.In the choice of national development path,people`s opinion serious differences or even antagonism,the tendency of separatism in eastern states intensified.Ukraine,whether it is to join the EU or choose to narrow the relationship with Russia,its essence is independent consciousness is not strong,there is a dependency,the supreme national identity or sub-national identity is higher than the national identity,the accumulation of national contradictions are also expected.In the process of modern state construction,national identity is a process that needs to be clearly defined and continually strengthened.This paper analyzes and discusses the process of national identity construction after the independence of Ukraine.National identity construction is neither the government to dominate everything,nor is the spontaneous formation of the national emotional identity,it must be in the process of interaction between the two to strengthen and consolidate,which is the main line of this article.Through the historical process of the construction of Ukraine after the independence of the country,the empirical analysis method and the comparative theory of political science are discussed.The problem of national identity is not only in the Ukrainian independence of the country,many developed capitalist countries are also facing the same problems,such as the British Northern Ireland independence,the Scottish referendum,Canada Quebec problem.It is also one of the biggest innovations of this paper from the discussion of comparative political theory.
