The project of the state-level excellent courses is leaded by the Open Course Ware. Thebuilding of it played an important role in promoting the sharing of higher quality teachingresources. Based on the nine years construction and development, the excellent courses havereached a considerable scale since2003. Until the December of2011, the courses of themaintenance by a teachers' team have reached to20075, which contained the state-levelexcellent courses3623.Along with the teaching reform and the introduction of a series of teaching methods, theschool are all exploring appropriate teaching mode, and to promote the teaching and to improvethe teaching quality. The shining appearance of the state-level excellent courses has brought newvitality, and point out the direction of the teaching for each college. The paper based on thestate-level excellent courses which have been uploaded to the internet, and took the PekingUniversity, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Fudan University,Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhongguo University of Science and Technology, Xi'an JiaoTong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, and BeijingNormal University as examples, according to these institutions in the course content resources tostudy on university course in the application of teaching methods.The paper of the university's teaching method in the excellent courses of university havefound: Elaborate cultivation of social science subjects are mainly on lecturing teaching method,discovery teaching method and classroom discussion; Courses of Technology, Agriculture andmedical are mainly on lecturing teaching method, classroom discussion, experimental teachingand autonomous learning; Courses of Public education are mainly on classroom discussion andinteraction with the platform of communication network.The state-level excellent course is the model of our country's national education industry.Although in the investigation of the curriculum to use the teaching mode has improved, butcompared with the international open courses are still some way, therefore, the state-levelexcellent course should still take effort in rich of the teaching method.
