The Research On The Status Quo Of Taekwondo's Development In College Sports In Guizhou

Taekwondo originates from Korean Peninsula, and the skills andtrickin taekwondo is called poomsae. Poomsae is a suit of quite difficultand special unified pattern motions, which are made up of a series ofcertain numbers of offensive and defensive motions. The offense anddefense motions, forward and back motions, the degree of speed, as wellas the tough and tender of poomsae, all flexibly apply the enrichingchange of Taiji cosmological theory. So poomsae shows the body, skilland spirit, and reflects a kind of life-style. Relatively, poomsae developspoor among college physical education in Guizhou province. This thesistakes the development situation in of poomsae in11colleges of Guizhouas the studying objects, randomly draws428students and12taekwondoteachers of these schools, and applies the methods of literature review,experts interviewing, questionnaire survey, logical analysis and so on toconduct this research. The main points of this thesis include the basicsituation of Guizhou taekwondo coach-team, the current development oftaewondo practical situation in Guizhou colleges, the basic situation ofthe students who are practicing taekwondo in Guizhou colleges, and theanalysis of the problems during the developing of poomsae in Guizhoucolleges. Then it gives out the following proposals to the development ofpoomsae program in Guizhou college physical education: 1. Strengthening the competition of poomsae. Practicing for thecompetition shall promote the development of poomsae. Then everycolleges will pay attention to poomsae positively and to seek thedevelopment of poomsae actively.2. Taekwondo coaches’ poomsae theory and skill are poor, which isan important matter that affects the development of poomsae in Guizhoucollege physical education. So, there are needs for strengthening thetraining of taewondo teaching staff team in Guizhou colleges, payingattention to improve the coaches’ generalization knowledge and skill,further improving taekwondo coaches’ poomsae training level and as wellas facilitating the development of poomsae in Guizhou college physicaleducation.3. Strengthening the contracture of taekwondo textbooks, taekwondosyllabus and the criteria of assessment. Encouraging the teachers, whohave been working on taekwondo education and practice in Guizhoucolleges for many years, to focus on writing a set of college taekwondotextbooks that are quite applicably, enact unified taekwondo educationsyllabus and taekwondo courser criteria of assessment, which fits for thecollege students of different levels.4. Paying more attention to the state of poomsae in the degree anddan test system. Poomsae proportion in the test of degree among Guizhoucollege taekwondo shall be increased. So the current one-sided situation of taekwondo in Guizhou colleges will be changed. Then poomsae and itspractical skill will be developed harmoniously.
