With the continuous promotion of the new curriculum and quality education, the concept of western constructionist gradually into primary and middle schools. This is the innovation to traditional teaching philosophy, but also reflect a strong emphasis on student development. The Scaffolding Instruction that the paper studied regard constructionist learning theory and the zone of proximate development theory as the support of theoretical.The so-called scaffolding is the scaffold of construction field, extends to the field of education, it emphasis teacher's guiding effect to student's construction of meaning. In teaching, teachers provide students with scaffolding, and create the problem situation that beneficial to student's explore, make for students to think independently, to enable students make a great progress by the scaffolding. In order to achieve the purpose of the construction of meaning knowledge. Scaffolding Instruction emphasizes student-centered, attention to the dominant position of students in teaching, thus Scaffolding Instruction has significant effect in coruscating classroom teaching's vitality and it is helpful to promoting transform the role of teachers between students,and improve students' learning ability.This essay researches Scaffolding Instruction in middle school history teaching. Then it is described in the form of teaching cases.The fifth chapter tells the problems that we need to pay attention in using the Scaffolding Instruction in middle school history teaching.Mainly includes: teachers should grasp the accurate meaning of zone of proximate development; can't weak the leading role of teachers; can't ignore the systematic history knowledge; analysis the teaching materials and adopt teaching methods suiting courses;concentrates on perfect teaching evaluation system.
