Chinese traditional learning is extensive, profound, of long standing and well established. Considering senior high school students universally lack humanity quality, it is of great significance to carry out Chinese tradidional learning.These following points should be grasped as to the connotation of Chinese traditional learning: highlighting traditional value, starting from the perspective of self-improvement, associating with life and attaching importance to the creativity of the main body.Chinese traditional learning can be carried out through both in-class and out-of-class approaches. The former includes: cultural breakthrough, arousing interest and emotions, strenghtening understanding, taste reading, promoting inspiration; making an appraisal of the man and the world, grasping the connotation, making the past serve the present, and focusing on inheritance. The latter includes: Cultural carding implementation, various learning activities, consolidating writing achievements and practising Chinese traditional learning to stick to behaviour norms.We should stick to five principles in the course of teaching Chinese traditional classics in senior high school: the principle of facing the text and experiencing it; the principle of combining diving, recitation and exploration; the principle of combining inspiration and proper directions; the pinciple of teaching through words and by examples; the principle of combining criticism and heritage, persistence and tolerance.Chinese teachers need to imrove their Chinese traditional learning quality in the course of teaching traditional classics; at the same time they should avoid some misconcepts.
