Through more than twenty year time after the 1988 education reform, in order to prevent the unfairness in education, to avoid the decline in the quality of basic education, to guarantee the examination has certain challenges, and students have a certain learning ability and basic skills,England published the most significant examination reform policy-- General Certificate of secondary education(being abbreviated GCSE) in the recent 26 years in 2014(GCSE exams is similar to our examination), focus on improving the education level of and the maintenance of the status of the education leading international of the UK.So far in our country, the reform of GCSE maths exam system and Research in British is not much. This article mainly uses the literature analysis, comparative study of law(list method, paired comparison method and comprehensive difficulty model),based on the existing research results, in the interpretation of the GCSE examination system and AQA math exam based, to carry out a new mechanism of British AQA mathematics GCSE exams for the systematic exploration.1. the new mechanism of the GCSE test in the UK AQAThe article makes a horizontal and vertical comparison on Supervision Bureau(The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, referred to as Ofqual),Department for Education, and AQA exam board on the related content of GCSE maths reform, found that:(1) in the form of examination by the original Liner examination(final examination) or module examination for linear test, grade G-A* grade system into 1-9system.(2) the mathematical GCSE exams of AQA in breadth and depth of content requirements increase, the new "ratio and rate of change" as an independent assessment content, primary(f) syllabus tendency in a knowledge base, and senior(H)focuses on logic and geometric knowledge.(3)Department for Education in this area are generally in good agreement, and AQA implementation in primary(f) and senior(H) of each paper, mathematics to evaluate the overall remain equal, specifically in each target assessment of a certain degree of flexibility. Current evaluation target(4360) in each specific assessment target weights have a certain extent of changes, and significantly decreased; and the evaluation target weight(8300) after the reform is fixed.AO1 weights greater but AO2 and AO3 is same.2.Comparison of old and new questions in AQA mathematics GCSEUsing paired comparison method and Bao Jiansheng comprehensive difficulty model on the item difficulty comparison of AQA mathematics GCSE examination of old and new questions(questions of Zhenti and the new reform both in June2015),and making a simple question analysis,draw the following conclusions:(1)the new questions of reform 8300 than old exams 4300 difficulty relatively increased. From the overall and partial paired comparison the difficulty of old and new questions, the questions 8300 is more difficult than 4360, but distribution of each item difficulty is no rule to follow.(2)the new papers of reform 8300 in reasoning, computing, knowledge content and mathematical cognition of these factors has increased than old exams 4360, and in the background of this factor decreases, namely the papers of 8300 becomes higher requirements than 4300, and more trend of mathematics itself.By the way, this article uses the paired comparison method to analyze the difficulty of the GCSE mathematics examination papers, the domestic application is not many, hope can have the reference or the enlightenment to our country mathematics examination appraisal.
