The Development Dilemma And Countermeasures Of Urban Spontaneous Mass Sports Organizations

Spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents develop quickly and have become an important carrier for public sports service of government and fitness and entertainment of the masses. This thesis investigates the development environment of spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents in Chengdu City,analyzes development difficulties these organizations have and the reasons, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures. The study result indicates that: the change of external environment such as system, economy, science and technology as well as society brings both opportunities and challenges to the development of spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents; the organization system of spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents is relatively open, and the members are of strong mobility and heterogeneity and restrict their own behaviors with conventional norms because there are usually no formal rules and regulations;traditional spontaneous sports organizations of residents have relatively stable inner structure, and members are mainly the elder who are looking forward to obtain physical and psychological health through joining the organizations; new spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents are also featured by relatively intense interaction network, and most members are middle-aged and young men who have higher education level and desire to “learn sports skill and satisfy their interests and hobbies ” through participating in the organizations; spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents have difficulties in identity, resources, impetus and governance. It is expected to deal with the development difficulties that spontaneous sports organizations of urban residents have by taking measures such as “improving rules and regulations of non-governmental sports organizations and creating favorable system environment; building service system of non-governmental sports organizations where several parties cooperate; raising the supply level of urban sports facilities and establishing the image of organizations”.
