The Application Of Lifelong Learning Platform In Adult Learning

Lifelong learning platform, as the important carrier of establishing the learning society and realizing people lifelong learning, has been built and put into use in the vast majority of regions and cities in our country. How to make better use of lifelong learning platform in people's learning has become a problem to be solved urgently in the present and has attracted more and more attention, especially for adults in the phase of work. Therefore, a thorough investigation to understand the present situation of the application of lifelong learning platform, analyzing the problems existing in the application, putting forward the corresponding countermeasures to promote lifelong learning platform in adult learning, is of great significance no doubt.This study first expounds the theoretical basis of the application of lifelong learning platform from the theory of lifelong learning, independent learning theory and the theory of technology acceptance model(TAM); then selects the existed lifelong learning platform-"Z city learning online " as a case, investigating the present situation of the application of the platform, the application conditions and adult digital learning resource requirements comprehensively by the questionnaire method, interview method and online statistics. The results of the survey show that most of the adults have hardware and network facilities of the application of lifelong learning platform, a certain network learning experience and the aspiration of the application of lifelong learning platform. However, the actual situation of application is not optimistic:their awareness of this platform was very low, with few registration, and students online situation, curriculum learning situation and students'feedback were both poor. The further analysis found the problems existing in the application: promotional efforts is too small; platform resources supply do not match the demand of adult learning; the usability of the resources on the platform is low, the community learning support is being of absence; part of adults need to improve their autonomous learning ability and information literacy. What is more, this paper deeply analysis the attribution to these problems.To the problems existing in the application of lifelong learning platform, this paper put forwards some countermeasures, which include improving the ability of autonomous learning in adults, improving the popularity of the lifelong learning platform, improving the matching degree between the resources on lifelong learning platform and adult learning needs, improving the ease of use of lifelong learning platform, strengthening the construction of community learning support services.
