An Analysis Of Chen Hengzhe's Historical Education Thought In Western History

Chen Hengzhe is a prominent female scholar in Chinese modern history. She has achieved a lot in history, literature and other fields. With outstanding basis of Chinese culture and western knowledge, she managed to think objectively. Thanks to her perfect family and marriage, she has published a lot of influential articles with calm and objective sight under the condition of the unequality between the genders.This essay mainly studies Western History written by Chen Hengzhe, especially focuses on her thought on historical education in this book. It is expected to draw people's attention on her thought and help to improve the editing of current historical textbooks.This paper mainly is divided into three parts. The first part introduces Chen Hengzhe's domestic and foreign educational background and the writing purpose and responses of Western History. The second part mainly analyzes the thought on historical education reflected in Western History, including the education of pacifism thoughts, the education of feminism, anti-injection of historical teaching and the basis of history subject. In the third part, the paper intends to give advice on the editing of current historical textbooks according to Western History written by Chen Hengzhe.
