Design And Implementation Of Visual Teaching Resources For "Network Technology" Course

In order to meet the need of society for information technology personnel, a number of educational technology specialties in colleges and universities offer the "Network technology" curriculum. Studies shown that, using the computer to make the abstract knowledge into the corresponding visual teaching resources, it not only contributes to the spread of knowledge, but also promotes learners to deeper understanding of the knowledge and learning. The "Network technology" curriculum teaching emphasizes the combination of theory and engineering practice, moreover, the knowledge is abstract and various, students are not easy to understand and master it. Therefore, with the deepening of the visualization knowledge, based on the existing methods and tools for visualization knowledge, combining the characteristics of "Network technology" curriculum, studying visual teaching resources which can meet the demands of students' " interpret drawings ", it provides a new way to solve the problem of "Network technology" teaching in the current educational technology major.This study takes the "Network technology" course of the undergraduates majoring in educational technology in our university as an example. Based on the analyzing the teaching objectives, the characteristics of curriculum knowledge, the teaching environment, the learning needs and the characteristics of learners, with the guidance of cognitive load theory, dual coding theory, semantic memory theory and visual design theory, the design procedures, design principles and the design matters of the visualization PPT, the flash animation and the visual thinking guide map teaching resources of the design flow have been studied, this study selects the typical knowledge curriculum and gives three kinds of teaching resources design case. Finally, according to the design case, the PowerPoint 2013, Flash and MindManager software have been chosen as the production tools to respectively achieve the visualization of PPT, visual FLASH animation and visual thinking guide map of the three categories of teaching resources. After that, the teachers and some of the students of this course have been tested and evaluated and the teaching resources have been modified basing on the feedback.The visualization of "Network technology" curriculum teaching resources design and technical realization of the scheme, on the one hand can enrich the domestic research on visualization of teaching resources, on the other hand can provide a reference for other schools which design and develop similar visualization teaching resources.
