The Study Of The Imaginary Characteristics Of 3-6 Year Old Children's Picture Books

It is the best time to develop imagination of children during preschool education.Picture books fit children because of the combination of vivid pictures and words.Children enjoy themselves in the imagination world when reading picture books.What happens in their imagination worlds? This thesis will find what children imagine in picture book reading.This thesis mainly includes four parts.First part is to give a definite project.Second part is the analysis of the imaginational traits of children(3 to 6 years old)in picture book reading from the following three aspects,the background of picture book,the characters of picture book and the plots of picture book.Third part is to summarize the features of children imagination in picture book reading.Forth part is about some educational suggestions.Three picture books,On the Way to School,After a power cut,Amor and black-and-white world,are carefully selected as the research tools.And 66 3 to 6years old children participate in this research.This thesis mainly use the method of interview and product analysis to analyze the details of children's imagination in picture book reading.There are three major findings.First,the imaginational traits of children from 3 to 4 when reading picture books are as follows,the imagination of background is simple,the imagination of characters is influenced by sensory perception and the imagination of plots is simple.Second,the imaginational traits of children from 4 to 5when reading picture books are as follows,the imagination of background is capacious,the imagination of characters is diversified and the imagination of plots is vigorous.Third,the imaginational traits of children from 5 to 6when reading picture books are as follows,the imagination of background is closed to daily life,the imagination of characters is full of conversation and the imagination of plots is in keeping with objective facts.
