Objects:This study explores relationship between the level of physical activity in daily life and the functional fitness in the elderly 65 years old, and reveal the effects of physical activity levels to the functional fitness. Methods:?Literature:Refer to large numbers of literature related to physical activity and functional fitness by shaanxi normal university library as well as other websites at home and abroad, analyze and summarize the literature, which provides reference for my paper.? Questionnaire survey method:use the PASE scale to evaluate the physical activity levels for the elderly over 65 years old.? Experimental measurement methods:Recruit the elderly over 65 years old and measure their functional fitness tests, including height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference,6 min walk test. Arm curl test, Chair stand test, Back scratch test. Chair sit-and-reach test, balance ability. Physical health test mainly includes the vital capacity.grip, standing on one foot test, choice reaction time. Results:? The elderly over the 65 years old, there is a obvious difference between the functional fitness and age (P<0.05). Besides, the elderly of 65-69 age group functional fitness indicators is better than that of the elderly in the 70-74 age group, and the elderly of 70-74 age group functional fitness indicators is better than over 75-year-old age groups. Therefore, for the elderly over the 65 years old, as the growth of the age, there is an obvious decline trend for the functional fitness. However, there was no significant difference in gender on functional fitness (P>0.05) for the elderly over the 65 years old. So it is not statistically significant.? The elderly over the 65 years old, there is a obvious difference between physical health, vital capacity, grip, standing on one foot, choice reaction and age (P< 0.05). There is a significant difference, besides, the elderly of 65-69 age group, physical health is better than that of the elderly in the 70-74 age group, and the elderly of 70-74 age group physical health is superior to the group of over 75-year-old.Therefore, for the elderly over the 65 years old, as the growth of the age, there is an obvious decline trend for the physical health. However, in this study, for the elderly over the 65 years old there was no significant difference in gender on physical health (P>0.05), so it is not statistically significant.? For the elderly over the 65 years old, there is a significant positive correlation between the functional fitness and the physical activity level, the elderly functional fitness indicators will be increased and improved with the increase of the elderly daily life level of physical activity.?For the elderly over the 65 years old, there is a significant positive correlation between physical health and physical activity levels in the elderly, the elderly physical health will be increased and improved with the increase of the elderly daily life level of physical activity. Conclusions:? For the elderly over the 65 years old, the age is an important factor to affect the elderly physical activity levels, and age, the older, the lower level of physical activity.? For the elderly over the 65 years old, the age has a major impact to the functional fitness and the physical health of the elderly, besides, the older, the worse the for functional fitness and physical health of the elderly.? For the elderly over the 65 years old, the physical activity has a great influence to the functional fitness and the physical health, that is, the higher level physical activity is, the better functional fitness and physical health are.
