With the development of industrial restructuring and market economy development in China,the part-time employment which has got a rapid growth as a way to promote flexible employment has become an important way to ease the employment pressure and alleviate the contradiction between labor supply and demand.On the other hand,the p art-time employment still has many unfavorable factors related to the labors as a new and alternative way of employment.The exploration of part-time employment in our country is still in its infancy.The regulations in The Labor Contract Law of 2008 and the Social Insurance Law implemented in 2010 are too principle and lack operability.Therefore,the study of the part-time employment's legal regulations in China needs further improvement.The thesis includes three parts——introduction,text and conclusion,the main body is divided into four parts:In the first part,author mainly elaborates the basic theory of part-time employment.First of all,the part-time employment is clearly defined in the text which mainly refers to the provisions of our labor contract law based on the labor form of paid hours and the study of part-time employment by domestic scholars.The analysis will be made from the aspects of theoretical basis,institutional status and countermeasures.Secondly,a comparison of the concepts of part-time employment with full-time employment and informal employment with short-term work will be made to highlight advantages of part-time employment.Finally,the text expounds the social values of part-time employment which includes lower labor costs and alleviates the employment pressure.In the second part,author mainly expounds the specific provisions for part-time employment.Then,the author analyzes it and points out its shortcomings at present according to a series of problems in the socio-economic practice.In the third part,author introduces some representative provisions on the part-time employment regulations in other current countries such as the Netherlands,Germany.the United States and Japan.Then,author analyses and draws on the above-mentioned national provisions on part-time employment in order to learn from their advanced legislations.In this way,we can make up for the shortcomings and improve it.In the fourth part,author mainly aims at the shortcomings of China's part-time employment regulations for putting forward some ideas on definite scope.the form of written labor contract,the security of the minimum wage and maximum working hours.Only in this way can we improve the legal regulations of part-time employment in our country and ensure its better play to promote the economic development.
