"Home-schooling" of compulsory education stage emerged in America in 1960s,it refers to school-aged children who do not study in school,while learning with their parents at home.Compared with school education,it has significant advantages and characteristics,which has gained legal status and rapid development in the United States,and also became an important supplement form of compulsory education.In recent years,"home-schooling" gradually rises in some economically developed areas in china,and has attracted widespread concern in the public and academia.It is important to promote the diversification of education and education reform.But it also has some problems to be solved urgently,such as the legalization of "home-schooling",educational management problems,parents' teaching qualifications,the evaluation and supervision of educational quality and so on.Therefore,this paper systematically combs the background,development stage and present situation of "home-schooling" in china and US,by means of literature research,case study,interview investigation and comparative analysis.Analyzing the similarities and differences between the two countries "home-schooling",and clarifying profound social background of the differences.On this basis,based on China's specific national conditions and learning the experience from the United States "home-schooling",in legislative,regulatory,social,and parental levels,in order to find an appropriate path for the legalization and standardization of "home-schooling" in China.
