Research On The Construction Of College Memory Based On College Archives

Since the 1990s,"Memory" has become a new and important concept in archival academic research with UNESCO’s advocating and leading the implementation of the"Memory of the World" project.The university archives play an important role in the development and management of universities and record the university history objectively,being the spiritual wealth and wisdom of the university members.However,due to various reasons including expansion of universities and campus transfer,some historical data are gradually or have been missing,therefore,it is very necessary to construct a university memory and remedy the missing historical records.In order to explore the basis and related content for university memory construction and to provide suggestions on construction of the university memory engineering,this paper carries out study and analysis of university archives and university memory through the comprehensive use of literature research,practice investigation and comparative analysis.Based on the characteristics and composition of the university archives,and sorting of the connotation and function of the university memory,it sorts out the relevant theories and realistic basis of the construction of college memory,explores the related contents such as the main body,the process and the construction mode,provides reference for development of university memory,and puts forward the corresponding safeguard measures.
